The ruling Political Party in Nigeria, All Progressive Congress (APC) is now in serious danger as Appeal Court on Saturday in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja sacked the Chairman of the party Comrade Adam Oshiomole while Governor Godwin Obaseki and his deputy resigned their membership from the party.
The Appeal Court upheld the dismissal of Mr. Adam Oshiomole from the party by Edo chapter of the APC, and by implication not qualified to be National chairman of the Party of the again.
Governor Obaseki disclosed his resignation to journalists at Aso Villa on Saturday and confirmed that he had started negotiation with the main opposition People Democratic Party (PDP) on the next way forward.
The ruling APC has recorded some unpalatable experience this month of June, 2020.
The party disbanded some of its political groups in Lagos State last week and the death of one of its most powerful and dedicated members in Lagos state – Senator Sikiru Adebayo Oshinowo popularly called ‘Pepperito’.
The next few days or weeks will be put the party leadership into a serious brain task calculations and movements to tackle many issues.
The party needs to manage the recent development in Edo State and at the National level most especially as the Governorship election Edo State is approaching to avoid Rivers,Samfara and Bayelsa States past calamities.
